Looks like it is coming out in French first then. Does anyone know how many versions in different languages there will be?

I'm guessing the English language one is this one...

It's bad actually. It contains various previously published materials, but also four articles, inluding one about Peckinpah's TV work (the one about his films from The Wild Bunch up to Pat Garrett contains more words than ideas, quite typically from a French author, but the other ones are not altogether bad), alongside a nice interview with Gordon Dawson.
I recommend buying the English version though, as a majority of the texts has been written in English.

Except for page 108 I like it as well :)

You mean that photo that would like to look like it's from The Wild Bunch?

Reading the article about Sam's early films, an analogy came to my mind which I hadn't thought of before: Major Dundee actually contains a storyline - that of Dundee's troops coming down to Mexico, freeing the Mexicans from the French, being celebrated for it at first, and then leaving the territory unheralded, having won a battle but not really being the winners - that is actually pretty reminiscent of Kurosawa's Seven Samurai...

Well Peckinpah was a Kurosawa fan - although didn't he say his favorite was Rashomon in an interview?

Well, looks like you may be right actually:

Although I haven't found the Spanish edition online either yet...

I'm still only seeing the French version listed anywhere. What I'm assuming to be the US version of the English language one (as I posted earlier) doesn't seem to be coming out until Feb 2016. Maybe a UK version will be coming out sooner than that...

It's really not my favorite book about Sam Peckinpah. Too short, too many unnecessary stills photos (always the same), and same texts I read before in "So Film" (a french magazine about cinema)  >:( . But I loved Sam Peckinpah's interview...

Very interesting, but the book is in French.

Or is there also an English edition available?

Edit: Already found it in English (which is more expensive)

I like this book very much. Many interesting articles and interviews, a pretty good companion piece to all the other already available books.

That picture on page 108 is puzzling: The guy on the ground looks like Angel, but all the guys surrounding him are not from TWB.

Puzzling, because that photo has NOTHING to do with Peckinpah :).

Yes, but the guy on the ground still looks like the tortured Angel.

That wall with the bell in the background is also not to be seen in TWB.

Why should the wall be seen in TWB ? The still has nothing to do with TWB. And the tortured guy could be anybody - heavily tortured guys look very much alike :).

What information do you need?

A must-have. (How many personal memories of the making
of a great film have been printed as a book anyway...)

JUNIOR is part of Jeb 's life, from the story, the filming etc. to the documentary about it we made last year.
I helped illustrating the book, so did Jeff...
