04 09 2012 Nothing like a few years between updating the welcome file.
Just a couple of bits. The forum has survived ups and downs (as well as myself

) and it keeps on the eternal quest. I have finally been working on the filmography on the site and it is coming along nicely. There is a long way to go but to me, the fun part is much like the forum itself, it is the project that never ends. I have been working on new banner images for the site/ forum so that Earned in Blood will finally be replaced by SamPeckinpah.com and The Sam Peckinpah Forum, etc. I'm sorry I my presence was spotty for so long but as I have said elsewhere it won't happen again and should I have health issues that return I will make sure there is a substitute in place. To all of you that have joined and even all of you that just stopped by to visit and read thank you!!! To any of you who happen to read this and have not joined, join the forum, join the discussion and help celebrate one of the great filmmakers the world has seen! I am still surprised when I rewatch my favorite Peckinpah films just how well they hold up. I don't do the one favorite thing but if I had to pick one, it would be Sam Peckinpah.

11 19 2009 Some updates about the forum for anyone that checks this.....

To everyone that got out to the 40th Wild Bunch Anniversary Screening, I’m still jealous.
Thanks to all who have joined and contributed over the past few months.
Before I go on, those of you that have not done it yet, I highly, highly, recommend you check out our moderator’s film "Passion & Poetry: The Ballad of Sam Peckinpah"!
Get it at: Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!! You need to

Mike made a great film that will appeal to those that are hardcore Peckinpah fans as well as those that are not so familiar with his life and work. Mike put the film out himself and if you can, order it up and check it out. Help support a talented guy that made a great film on his own.
In the coming months and into next year, there will be some changes coming at the forum. The “Earned in Blood” title will be changed to the new: “Sam Peckinpah Forum”. You will still be able to get to the forum via Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!! You need to

(and you probably will always be able to) but it is already accessible via Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!! You need to

which is the new permanent address.
I have a goal to compile one of the most thorough Peckinpah filmographies on the web. I’m not exactly sure when that will happen but I’ve been doing small updates here and there when I can. Of course, none of the updates have made it onto the web yet..... and I've barely got anything put together but it will happen... Sometime...
Also, I know there are issues with the forum that are affecting some of the accounts. So far, they all seem to be related to a larger quirk in the forum software. As yet, the creators have not fixed it and I hope they will soon. If problems persist, I may look into an alternative forum set up but that won’t be for a little while.
I set up a Facebook page to help spread the word about the forum. You can get to it off the main page or here:

My thanks again for joining, contributing and being patient with my inept forum management.
I prescribe all one night of watching Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia while drinking yourself under the table.

07 24 2009 Just a quick note: if you had trouble getting to the forum at different times this week, it was nothing to do with your connection. The company that hosts the forum had some outages this week that caused the forum to go offline a couple times.
07 16 2009 Thanks and welcome to everyone who has joined up, posted and/ or helped spread the word about the forum!!! Just a quick couple of updates here.
There has been some slight changes to the Avatars. This has been in place for awhile but due to some formatting issues, the maximum width that your avatar can be is 144 pixels. You shouldn’t need to do anything if the avatar is wider than that as it should be automatically shrunk. The only other restriction is the avatar that you upload cannot currently be any larger than 200kb.
Now that the forum has started to fill in a bit, I went through and grabbed a few of the threads that have included any images and I attached them to the thread “Post any Peckinpah related images as replys' in this thread...”
*06 13 2009 update* The forum made it through the first day and didn't implode! Woohoo! Thanks to those of you who already checked it out and gave me feedback!! There are already a few changes, the most noteworthy of which is that you can now upload your own avatar photos. Currently, they can only be 200 x 200 pixels.
061209 This forum, such as it is, is a labor of love. After many setbacks, it is finally up and running. This has been, and will continue to be, something of a learning process for me. Thank you for stopping by 'Earned in Blood', a discussion forum for fans of Sam Peckinpah and his films! While the focus is all things Peckinpah, any discussion is welcome. I am new to running a forum so there may be some bumps along the way but I will try and keep things running as best I can.
Currently, 'Earned in Blood' does not support file posting so if you want to post some images you will need to upload them to a site of your own or a place like Multimedia File Viewing and Clickable Links are available for Registered Members only!! You need to
