Noon Wine (1966)

I finally got a copy a couple of weeks ago and watched it for the first time.
I have to say that everything good I read about this tv-movie in all these years is true. It's really a little gem.

It would deserve a proper DVD issue...

I totally agree!! Thanks to a friend I finally saw it last year for the first time as well. Gachade, I really wish it would get a quality release (or any release at all for that matter.)

Noon Wine was originally made in color but as far as I know there is only one copy which still exists in its original form, Jason Robards had a personal copy but where that is now is anybody's guess.
Sam might have had one but I don't know that for sure.
The reason it is b/w now is probably because of over copying bleaching the color out of it.
Is there someone out there who knows what happend to the Jason Robards copy?

Since it was produced by ABC, shouldn't they at least have a copy?
